The Northern Lights are situated in the centre of Dumfries, DG1 2BS

Walking from Dumfries Train Station.

We are just a short 5 minute walk.

Walking from Dumfries Bus Stop Whitesands 

We are a slight upward incline to High Street

Where is the Event?

Northern Lights 2026 is across venues in Dumfries Town Centre over a 0.5 mile radius, around a 10 minute walk from Burns statue to Burns Mausoleum located in St Michaels Church Dumfries and Dock Park.

Northern Lights 5pm-10pm daily

What to wear/bring?

With our event being an outdoor event in winter in Scotland. It is expected that we may have adverse weather conditions. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear appropriate footwear and warm waterproof clothing.

How much does it cost?

Northern Lights and Carnival are free to enjoy, thanks to our incredible funding partners. 

You can purchase VIP experiences here which allow you to jump the queue and, includes your own tour guide.

Are dogs allowed?

Well-behaved dogs kept on a lead are welcome with responsible owners. As long as the dog is comfortable with crowds, noise and flashing lights, also pick up after themselves.

Assistance dogs are also welcome. Most are instantly recognisable by the dog jacket or harness.

Are there flashing lights? 

Not all installations have flashing lights.  Where there is excessive strobe usage, we will let you know when you enter the space.
