Brigston & Co Hotdog

Brigston & Co is redefining the humble hot dog with a gourmet twist. Their handmade, craft-smoked hot dogs are made from the finest Scottish Farm Assured beef and pork, blended with a secret mix of ten herbs and spices, then smoked over beechwood for a rich, smoky flavour. Pizza Geeks

Pizza Geeks is the ultimate playground for your taste buds and your inner nerd. They take classic pizza and give it a proper geeky twist — think haggis and black pudding topping “The Braveheart,” or a sweet-chilli-sauced “Wildling” that’s basically a flavour adventure in every bite. From gooey mozzarella, punchy chorizo, and golden haggis to quirky sides like Dragon Ballz dough balls and MacGyver & Cheese Bytes, everything here is designed to be as Instagrammable as it is delicious. It’s comfort food with a sense of humour, a dash of mischief, and zero boring slices allowed — because life’s too short for plain pizza.

Johnstones Salt & Chilli

Johnstone Event Catering is basically your taste buds’ new best friend. Their Salt & Chilli Chicken is crispy, spicy, and just the right kind of naughty — whether it’s in a burger, wrap, wings, or piled high with chips. And if you’re feeling sweet, their coffee and donuts lineup is basically a cheat day in edible form, with loaded hot chocolates, frothy lattes, and sugar donuts begging for extra toppings. Add in cakes, pastries, and sides like cheesy or curry chips, and suddenly your event (or your appetite) just got a serious upgrade — all without making your wallet cry.

Five Kingdoms Brewery

Five Kingdoms started off brewing in 2015 as a hobby and passion project between Alastair Scoular, owner of the local Pub and Restaurant The Steam Packet Inn, and head chef Brendon Dennett, who had previous experience brewing at 6degrees North. With the location, premises and experience of the pub trade and a pure passion for real ale, Alastair and Brendon were the perfect balance for a successful venture to create honest, fine ales. Since then the team has doubled, and we now have Sara, our Office Manager, and Ailsa who looks after everything creative as well as sales and marketing.

Dark Art Distillery

The Distillery was founded by Andrew and is a passion project due to his family roots tying back to Kirkcudbright for generations. Opened in 2021, it is built in an old derelict primary school which has been converted and shared with other tenants including the Dark Space Planetarium and a pottery painting studio, the Wee Pottery.

Whilst the whole building has been renovated, many of the features from the original building have been retained including old-style chalk boards, wood panelling and the clock on the central tower.  The Distillery itself includes a Visitor Centre & Shop where gin-tours and tastings are undertaken.  The Distillery has a magnificent custom-built 450L Carl still named ‘Peggy’ after Andrew’s grandmother who hailed from Kirkcudbright.
